Session 1

April 10-12

Learning Outcomes
  • Interpret and evaluate implant records and radiographic data, including 2D imaging and CBCT, to support informed complex treatment planning decisions
  • Apply prosthetically driven principles to implant treatment planning, including implant position, number, and restorative considerations
  • Analyze implant biomechanics and their implications for implant selection, placement, and prosthetic design
  • Differentiate the latest in bone grafting approaches, materials, and indications based on defect morphology and biologic principles
  • Select appropriate current pharmacologic and peri-operative protocols, to support implant surgery and patient management
  • Apply drilling protocols across varying bone densities (D1–D4) using simulation models
  • Practice freehand implant placement techniques
  • Perform extraction and socket grafting procedures on simulation models and patients during live surgery
  • Demonstrate foundational suturing techniques relevant to implant and grafting procedures
